It's Silly Sunday and time to laugh at myself and my fat trials. This week I've thought about how I felt at my heaviest, 240 pounds. Every day was a lament; I was in mourning for the days when I weighed my ideal weight, 122 pounds. It was only a week, but what bliss! That was MY RAPTURE, speaking of being taken up to THE SPIRIT IN THE SKY! (I'm writing this at 11:58 PM Saturday and so far no earthquakes and no one flying up physically.) Back to weighing 122 pounds. During the second blissfilled week at 122, I crashed to hell when I did something stupid. I began a romance with a co-worker and thus began my blubber-baiting troubles all over again. During the time with him (courtship, marriage, divorce) I stressed out and gained all the weight back and more. Over the years I yo-yoed up to my fattest, 110 pounds heavier than I am this moment. That's why reworking the lyrics to a fabulous song by Lionel Richie and The Commodores adapting the song to how I felt during my most obese, ROCKS THE HOUSE! (See what I mean?)
Here are the lyrics to She's A Brick House
My reworked lyrics:
I'M JUST A BRICK HOUSE
I'm just a BRICK______HOUSE.
I'm sorry, sorry for making myself so stout.
I'm just a BRICK______HOUSE..
Adipose packed, I'm so wacked, can't stop that growing fat!
Oh, what a BRICK__________HOUSE.
My appetite's huge, the doctor knows,
Here's how that story goes.
Doctors told me they know everything
To drop 100 pounds and be thin, yeah, yeah!
But how can I lose...with such food abuse?
56-44-56? I NEED LAP BAND!
Oh, what a BRICK______HOUSE.
Sooo sorry, sorry for making myself so stout.
I'm a BRICK______HOUSE.
Adipose packed, I'm so wacked, can't stop that growing fat.
So I'm a BRICK_____HOUSE.
And it's no fun to weigh a ton.
I'm madder than old King Kong.
No clothes to wear, hate my fatty ways.
Being overweight, makes me wish for thinner days.
When I board a plane, everyone is displeased.
I'm praying to God to bring my fat to its knees.
I'm just a BRICK______ HOUSE.
I'm sorry, sorry for making myself so stout.
I'm such a BRICK_______HOUSE.
Adipose packed, I'm so wacked, can't stop that growing fat.
Refrain:
Lose the weight, lose the weight, lose the weight, NOW!
Lose the fat, lose the fat, lose the fat, NOW!
Get it off, get it off, get it off, NOW!
Starve yourself, starve yourself, starve yourself, NOW.
Shake it off, shake it off, shake it off, NOW.
Kill the fats, kill the fats, kill the fats, NOW.
BRICK________HOUSE
Sorry, sorry for making myself so stout.
And it's no fun to weigh a ton.
I'm madder than old King Kong.
Refrain:
Lose the weight, lose the weight, lose the weight, NOW!
Lose the fat, lose the fat, lose the fat, NOW!
Get it off, get it off, get it off, NOW!
Starve yourself, starve yourself, starve yourself, NOW!
Shake if off, shake it off, shake it off, NOW!
Kill the fats, kill the fats, kill the fats, NOW!
BRICK_____HOUSE....
I had a lot of fun singing my lyrics along with The Commodores. For me, the lyrics are a potent reminder that I never, ever want to feel that way again!!!
Good Luck to every Weight Watcher out there and everyone who is happy at the weight they are presently. And if you're not happy at your current weight, ROCK THE HOUSE!!!

Thanks, Margo. You're kind as always. It's fun to do and serves a purpose: to "bring my fat to its knees!"
Hilarious!
Thanks, Claire!
